Configuring SMTP as a Notifier in VIDIZMO
VIDIZMO sets up a default SMTP server during installation. You can configure your own SMTP server to send alerts, notifications, and other updates to users.
Prerequisites
- Ensure you belong to a group with the following feature permissions enabled: Login Settings, Security Settings, Setup Wizard, Whitelisting, and Domain Settings.
Navigate to Email Settings
- Open the navigation pane using the top-left button.
- Select Admin > Control Panel.
- Expand Email and select Email Settings.
Configure Email Settings
To set up SMTP in the VIDIZMO portal, fill in the following fields under Email Settings:
- Select Notifier: For this setup, Choose SMTP.
- Server: The corporate SMTP Server that you have configured for your organization.
- Port: Provide the port used in your corporate email server. Some commonly used ports are: SMTP - port 25 or 2525 or 587, Secure SMTP (SSL / TLS) - port 465 or 25 or 587, 2526 (Elastic Email).
- Enable SSL: Use the check box if your mail server is configured to use SSL.
- From Display Name: The name of the sender that should be displayed.
- Sender's Email Address: Provide the email address of the account that will be used to relay email messages.
- Sender's Password: Provide the password of the account that will be used to relay email messages.
- From: The email address from which to send the email.
- CC: The email address of any additional person you want to stay updated with the Email.
- BCC: The email address of any additional person you wish to send the Blind copy of the email.
- Reply to: The email to which the receiver can send a reply.
- Priority (Optional): The level of priority of emails in terms of importance and urgency of delivery. Choose "High" for important emails, "Normal" for standard messages, and "Low" for less urgent.
- Select Update to proceed and finish the setup.
